Edward W. Ng received his PhD degree in astronomy/applied mathematics from Columbia University. He has been employed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) of the California Institute of Technology, under contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA ). He retired in March of 2006. E. Ng was elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and is cited in the American Men and Women of Science. He has published 43 journal and conference articles in various mathematical applications of space sciences and engineering. Ng was born and grew up in Hong Kong and came to the US for college and post-graduate education. He is married and has 3 sons.
