Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Mountain rescue may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Sinhalese people
Hi my name is White Mobile
I deleted a section of the 'sinhalese people' article because it states that the current sinhalese are the aborignals mixed with aryans from the north. However this is not correct. This is due to the many studies which can be seen on the wikipedia page 'Genetic studies on Sinhalese' and many other websites which all state that the Sinhalses are of bengali descent and although they have many contributions the native sri lankan aborigingal gene proportion found in the sinhalese is muinute. This therefore contradicts what is stated on this website. I then decided to see for myself where this incorrect data was sourced from and found it was from a sinhalese hritage website. These websites often like to say that the sinhalese are of aboriginal descent for their own means and thus if you were to search elsewhere would find no other factual evidence has shown the same message but actually quite the contrary. Therefore i deleted a section of the article so that it would not mislead people to fact. This was why i made these changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whitemobile (talk • contribs) 21:39, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking the time in explaining this. The thing to do now, if you haven't done so already is to repeat what you have written above on the article talkpage, and if possible find a reliable reference for the genetic studies. Actually I don't see much conflict in what the article says and your claims. The phrasing can be rewritten to emphasise that these claims are part of the national mythology and folklore which is not supported by recent genetic studies. --KTo288 (talk) 21:58, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
That is true it does not confict much but i believe it would be better and more easier for readers if multiple claims were not laid down. There is a seperate article for that and i thought that for some readers that do not focus much they would take this in the wrong way and interpret it wrong and believe it is factual rather than ideological. My reference is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetic_studies_on_Sinhalese#mediaviewer/File:Genetic_admixture_of_Sinhalese_by_Papiha.PNG which shows the genetic makeup of the sinhalese people and all the studies on their show little genetic input into the sinhalese population. Therefore the ideas stated that they descend from the aboriginals is incorrect. Thanks you though for showing me ow to do this since i only just started editing and i'm quite new to this all :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whitemobile (talk • contribs) 22:30, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
- Don't worry we were all new to this at one time. But for the moment an you refrain from editing the article until tomorrow. We have something called the 3 revert rule which means, you shouldn't revert an article more than 3 times in a 24 hour period. I'm working on a form of words that should serve as an acceptable compromise, please be patient.--KTo288 (talk) 22:38, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
Sure no problem sorry for any inconvienience caused Whitemobile (talk) 00:18, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- No problem at all, sometimes what an article needs is a fresh pair of eyes to look at it, and call out the inconsistencies and misstatements, and I agree with you this one needed it. Its just that on contentious articles (you can tell its contentious because it was protected with pending edits review) in order to carry the community major changes should either first be discussed, or be referenced. I hope this experience doesn't put you off from editing. Anyway have fun, and when you have time have a read of the editing guidelines in the welcome package.KTo288 (talk) 10:34, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cultural cleansing, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Red Guards (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Zenana missions
Hello, It is a long time since the CZEMS was merged into the Zenana article; perhaps its notability was doubtful then, as it still seems to be. Most of the time I do not pay much attention to Wikisource and do not know the recommended method of citing it so those citatons may look somewhat odd. I noticed it this time because it was an unassessed Anglicanism article and first I found the Commons img, then thought of Wikisource and found much more than expected. Here is a book published by CEZMS 27 Chancery Lane, London:Chopsticks; by F. I. Codrington [1928]; and 2 more: Macfee, K. J. & Codrington, Florence I. Eastern Schools and Schoolgirls. An account of the educational work of the Church of England Zenana Missionary Society, CEZMS, [1927] // Codrington, Florence I. Hot-Hearted: some women builders of the Chinese Church. CEZMS, [1934] (these two from the British Library catalogue).--Johnsoniensis (talk) 15:24, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- Notability wise it seems to be a small part of then large English speaking Anglican community, but a large part of the Chinese speaking Anglican community. Individual members of the Anglican and Baptist societies, and the schools they found!d and ran, are also considered to be notable in their own right. Which is a bit of a new one for me, editing Kpop bands, I usually encounter the argument "notability is not inherited" with regards the band may be notable but not the individual members. In this case the "notability is not inherited" argument would mean that the individual members are notable but the organisations they belonged to are not.--KTo288 (talk) 15:49, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
Edit to Islam page
Hey HTo288! I'm new and I wanted to ask, are you muslim? Cuz I saw you edit the "Islam" page. ~Avatar Raava.
- No, but I do have the greatest of respects for that faith, and most of its adherents.--KTo288 (talk) 15:59, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

edit war notice
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Monsanto legal cases. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount and can lead to a block, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Jytdog (talk) 12:16, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- please do come talk. And i see your edit note where you wrote "revert again see you in 24 hours". If you revert again after 24 hours, you will still be open to a 3RR action as the policy explictly discusses intentional gaming of the 24 hour limit, as you just acknowledged you intend to do. Please discuss on Talk - that is what we do here when there is a disagreement about content. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 12:20, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

- No problem. And thanks for weighing in.
- re "just that it isn't the one they most commonly associate with her," - I think we're arguing it isn't the one the sources most commonly associate with her. That's how WP:COMMONNAME works. NickCT (talk) 03:47, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
