Gurmel Singh Dhillon, also spelled Gurmail, was a noted Panjabi songwriter.[1][2] As of the trend then, he mostly wrote duets. Many of the noted Panjabi singers sung his songs including the duo Muhammad Sadiq and Ranjit Kaur who sung most of his songs.

Early life

Singh belonged to a village Bhukhianwali (now Bhagwangarh) of Bathinda district of Panjab and was a bank employee. His family, wife and daughter, still lives in the village.
