Worms Forts: Under Siege is an artillery strategy game.[1] It was designed by Team17. Like the previous Worms game, it is in complete 3D and showcases new features, such as buildings. While the primary method of victory is to destroy the opposing team, victory can also be achieved by destroying the opposing Stronghold, the most important building in the game. It is the second game in the series to carry both a T rating from the ESRB and a 3+ rating from PEGI.
Buildings
Stronghold
The Stronghold is the first building you start off with, already built in a corner of the map. The stronghold is your most important building, as once destroyed, your team is eliminated. However, the stronghold carries the most HP. Nonetheless, you must protect it.
Tower
The Tower is the first build that a player can build. Like any other building, it can be built only near other buildings. Once a worm is on top, you will be able to fire Tier 2 weapons. However, when the roof of the tower is destroyed, you will no longer be able to fire Tier 2 weapons from it.
Keep
A Keep is the next building you can build. It is larger, and stronger than the tower, and requires 2 victory locations to build. You are given less of these than towers, but you are able to fire Tier 3 weapons from it.
Castle
Castles are larger, and again, stronger than Keeps. It requires 3 victory locations to build, and you will be able to fire Tier 4 weapons. However, you are only given 2 of these, so use strategy.
Citadel
The strongest buildable building a player can...build. It requires 4 victory locations to build, but allows you to fire the final tier of weapons. You are only given 1 of these in a match, so plan wisely!
Hospital
A building with twice the longevity of the Tower that allows the option of spawning deceased Worms with a small amount of health. It Requires 2 Victory Locations to unlock.
Weapon Factory
A small and defenseless building that has half the strength of the Tower, but generates 3 Weapon Crates per turn. It requires 3 Victory Locations to unlock.
Science Lab
A building that increases the power of all weapons by approximately 50% of their original damage each time one is built. It requires 4 Victory Locations to unlock.
Wonder
A strong but defenseless building that allows the player who built it to win in two turns unless it is demolished. It requires 5 Victory Locations to unlock and is not affected by the Freeze tool.
Lighthouse
A building that is used to indirectly connect buildings together during many of the missions. When a wall joins to it, it turns the player's color and another lighthouse lights up nearby, which can then be joined too.
