Melbourne Weekender is hosted by Cameron Ling. It's a weekly half-hour program showing how Melburnians can have a good weekend. The show airs on Channel 7 Melbourne, and is produced by Seven Productions. The show's debut date is yet to be announced.

Melbourne Weekender will cover the very best of what Victoria has to offer - from secret city laneways to day trips in the Victorian countryside.

Born and bred in Victoria, Ling said he is really excited to have a crack at showing viewers the best of our great state. “Within an hour’s drive we can travel from a vibrant city to the solitude of the bush,” he said. “It’s all here on our doorstep and I just love it.” “Never in a million years did I imagine I’d be a part of a show like this. I’m out of my comfort zone - but I’m passionate about food and travel - which is what the show is all about, so the opportunity to be a part of this is just too good to pass up.” Ling is being dropped in the deep end, literally, for his debut on Melbourne Weekender. One of his first stories is swimming with sharks in the Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium. “I am an ocean loving person and I am up for any stories that get me in the water,” Ling said. From taste-testing steaks at your local BYO restaurant to kayaking down the Yarra River, and everything in between, Melbourne Weekender will cover stories Melburnians will want to see.

Melbourne Weekender has a range of presenters who feature stories on gardening, pets, renovating, fishing, boating, dining, entertainment and where to take the family around Melbourne.
