Smail Prevljak (born 16 February 1995) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a forward for RB Salzburg on loan from RB Leipzig in the Austrian Bundesliga and Bosnia and Herzegovina U21.[1]

Club career

Youth

As a youth, he played for FK Igman Konjic and RB Leipzig. He was part of the RB Leipzig team that achieved promotion to the Under 19 Bundesliga for the 2014–15 season.[2]

RB Leipzig

After impressing in pre-season, he was signed for a two-year contract by RB Leipzig on 1 July 2014 alongside former youth teammate Patrick Strauß.[2] He made his professional debut on 2 August 2014, in a 0–0 draw against VfR Aalen.[3]

Liefering

On 1 September 2014, he was loaned out to FC Liefering.[4] He made his full-match debut in a 5–2 lost against SC Austria Lustenau on 26 September 2014.[5] He scored his first goal for the club, in a 4–1 win against FC Wacker Innsbruck on 3 October 2014.[6]. Prevljak was voted the best young player of the season in the Erste Liga.[7]

International career

Prevljak made his debut for Bosnia and Herzegovina U21 on March 27, 2015 in a friendly match against the United States U23 team in Tuzla.[8]
