Barbershop 3 is an upcoming 2016 American comedy film directed by Malcolm D. Lee. It is a sequel to the 2004 film Barbershop 2: Back in Business and the third film in the Barbershop film series. The film is scheduled to be released on February 19, 2016.

Production
On March 26, 2014, Deadline.com reported that MGM was in negotiations with Ice Cube to produce a third film in the franchise, Barbershop 3.[2] On February 19, 2015, Malcolm D. Lee was set to direct the third film, while Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer were in talks to join the film.[3] On March 25, 2015, New Line Cinema signed on with MGM to release the film, while MGM would handle the production.[4] Principal photography began on May 11, 2015.[5]
