Junia is located in the Abbottabad district of KPK'. The valley of Junia spreads over 180,037 canals, which is the highest area occupied by any village in Tanawal. It is located at an average elevation of 849 meters. The geographical co-ordinates are (34-2333) longitude and (73-0333) latitude. It is located in north-west of Abbottabad bordering Mansehra.

The village is almost entirely populated by Tanolis (a group of aborigines to the area of Junia, the main tribes are Tanoli (95%), Awan (2.7%), Sulmani (2.1%) and Turk (1%). It is located at an average area of 849 square meters. It has population of over 5000 with literacy rate of 99%. In this village there are 5 PHD 's, 4 MBBS, 10 Engineers, CAs and Many M.Phils and post graduates. Most people in this village are committed to the education department.
