The Timiş river (-Romanian, in Hungarian: Temes, in Serbian: Tamiš) is a river rising in the southern Carpathian Mountains, Caraş-Severin county, Romania. It flows through the Banat region and flows into the Danube at Pančevo, in northern Serbia. The cities Caransebeş, Lugoj and Timişoara lie on the river Timiş.
