User:Kguirnela - what is your basis to say that this article needs to be rewritten entirely? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bdmmdb (talkcontribs) 01:41, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please take a look at Cojuangco; it should serve as an example on how to write articles about surnames on WP. I'll clean it up as best I can. Also, you can sign your comments using four tildes. — KvЯt GviЯnЭlБ Speak! 04:34, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

User:Kguirnela - don't reject the locals own interpretation to the word of their own and try to replace it with meaning using the interpretation of a man who is a foreigner to the language who tried to interpret it.

according to Jose Rizal who is not a visayan in his 1890 book the term means " to go to the wood or even to fight "

to De Morga a spanish writter in his book written in 1500s but publish in 1609 the term means " to go out for war, raiding or plundering expedition "

after all de morga is not talking here about the meaning of the word or about visayans as a whole but of particular race

which most modern foreign writers mistakenly misunderstood believing that de morgas writing is about the deeds and doesn't refer to a race known as mangubat
