Charmian Carr

Charmian Carr (born Charmian Farnon December 27, 1942) is best known for role as Liesl, the eldest Von Trapp daughter in The Sound Of Music where she starred with Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, Nicholas Hammond, Heather Menzies, Angela Cartwright and Kym Karath.

She is the second child of vaudeville actress, Rita Oehmen, and musician Michael Farnon. She has two sisters, one older and one younger. Soon after filming the Sound of Music, she married Jay Brent and had two daughters, Jennifer and Emily. The marriage lasted until 1991. She started an interior decorating company whose clients include Michael Jackson.

She has written two books, Forever Liesl and Letters to Liesl.
