Sequenza VII

  • ALT1: ... that Luciano Berio's (pictured) Sequenza VII for solo oboe is accompanied by a B-natural drone which typically comes from offstage?
  • Reviewed: Fifth DYK nom—not sure whether QPQ is required for this one. I will review a nomination anyway.

Detailed article with many aspects, on good sources. I am not so happy with the hooks. Can we think further? The original bombards the innocent reader with technical terms, the second says little about the oboe's part. For the average reader perhaps mention only "extended techniques" (without a list), the dedication for Holliger, and/or "a virtuosity of the intellect". Can you perhaps put that in the article and correct: that it is not only about this piece but Berio's approach to virtuosity in general? - How do you feel about an infobox, - compare The Modification and Instrumentation of a Famous Hornpipe as a Merry and Altogether Sincere Homage to Uncle Alfred? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:01, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
@Gerda Arendt: Thanks for the review! I can definitely put the infobox in the article. However, I'm n0ot sure what you want in terms of the article and hooks, so could you give me a few examples? BenLinus1214talk 02:03, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
