Cathy Yap-Yang is a Filipina based multi-awarded business journalist who worked in different news outfits across Asia Pacific in a span of 15 years. She went home in the country last August 2015 to re-joined her first home ABS-CBN as the anchor of ANC.

Background

She was graduated in AB Communication Arts at the De La Salle University (DLSU) in 1991. After her graduation, Yap-Yang joined ABS-CBN and she spent 8 years (1992-2000) as reporter, researcher, pinch-hitter for Noli de Castro on TV Patrol, business news presenter for Stock Market Live of SNN, The World Tonight and The Weekend News and host of "Usapang Business" together with Ces Drilon.

In 2000, Reuters Foundation sent Yang to the Oakford University to take Masters of Journalish, few months later, she joined Bloomberg TV based in Tokyo, and then moved to Hong Kong.[1]

Yang also joined Reuters TV as their news anchor from 2010 to 2013, and CCTV News as their reporter covering the whole Hong Kong from 2013 to August 2015. Yang will set to re-join ABS-CBN as part of the on-air anchormen of the cable news channel, and beefing up their business news coverage. She will be hosted "Market Edge" and anchored "Business Nightly" (replacing Warren de Guzman) starting September 1. [2]
