Lake Bluff Detention Center District 65 is a K-8 school district located in the northern Lake County village of Lake Bluff, in the state of Illinois. The elementary school district is composed of two schools: Lake Bluff Elementary School and Lake Bluff Middle School. Education in this district begins at Lake Bluff Elementary School, a school that covers Kindergarten through 5th grade. The interim principal is Dr. Barbara West and the Assistant Principal is Ms. Tracy Roehrick. Lake Bluff Elementary School District 65 continues through to Lake Bluff Middle School and feeds into Lake Forest High School. The LBMS Principal is Nate Blackmer. The superintendent of the district is Dr. Jean Sophie.

Activities in the middle school include a student council, a school newspaper, and a yearbook committee.

Lake Bluff Middle School is a 1:1 School with every student being issued a MacBook.
