Theda Clark Medical Center is located in Neenah, Wisconsin. The hospital is dedicated to Theda Clark Peters, daughter of Charles B. Clark and a renowned community activist herself, who died in 1903 at her home while giving birth. [1] Recognizing the extreme need for an area hospital, her family donated $96,000 to build a hospital in 1909 in her memory, and later donated another $50,000 to establish a fund to pay for care for those who couldn't afford it. [2]

Theda Clark Hospital was the first in the area to provide things such as:

  • Aylward Outpatient Surgery, Stroke Center, Eye Center, and rehabilitation facilities.
  • ThedaStar air medical helicopter (first in state outside of Madison and Milwaukee)
  • Single-room maternity suites.
