ThedaCare Regional Medical Center–Neenah
Appearance
Theda Clark Medical Center is located in Neenah, Wisconsin and part of the ThedaCare healthcare system and member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. The hospital is dedicated to Theda Clark Peters, daughter of Charles B. Clark and a renowned community activist herself, who died in 1903 at her home while giving birth. [1] Recognizing the extreme need for an area hospital, her family donated $96,000 to build a hospital in 1909 in her memory, and later donated another $50,000 to establish a fund to pay for care for those who couldn't afford it. [2]
Theda Clark Hospital was the first in the area to provide things such as:
- Aylward Outpatient Surgery, Stroke Center, Eye Center, and rehabilitation facilities.
- ThedaStar air medical helicopter (first in state outside of Madison and Milwaukee)
- Single-room maternity suites.
