Roger Kasperson is a Professor at Clark University [1] and is one of the distinguished proponents of Risk perception studies with his work on The Social Amplification/Attentuation of Risk Framework (SARF)[2][3].

Honored by the Association of American Geographers for his research on hazards [4], he also served on various committees of the U.S. National Research Council as well as the council of the Society for Risk Analysis[5] and was given the 2006 Distinguished Achievement Award of the SRA[6]. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences [7] and was a previous director at the Stockholm Environment Institute[8].
