Tommo is an American video games publisher and distributor of video games headquartered in City of Industry, California, USA. Founded in 1989, Tommo started out as a small independent video game distribution company that distributed imported games. Today Tommo, Inc. is a worldwide publisher, licensor and manufacturer of games and accessories across multiple entertainment platforms including PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Steam, GOG.com, iTunes, Google Play and Amazon.com. In July 2013, Tommo bought Humongous Entertainment and over 100 classics games from the Atari bankruptcy proceedings.[1]
Tommo also owns the Tommo Mobile brand and is currently marketing an exclusive line of SEGA-themed mobile accessory products which debut in 2013 and a second line of products is expected for Fall 2014.
Tommo also publishes original and licensed games in conjunction with its sister software company, UFO Interactive. Most notably, several titles in the Raiden shooting game series, Elminage and original titles in the Smart Girls, Smart Boys and Smart Kids brands as well as the Chuck E. Cheese series on various platforms.
In January 2014, Tommo re-launched the Humongous.com website and numerous social media sites as part of its commitment to rebuild the Humongous brand. In addition to iTunes, Google Play and The Amazon App Store in 2014 dozens of Humongous titles also debuted on Steam (April) and on Amazon PC Digital Download (May).
