Raury Alexander Tullis (born June 6, 1996), professionally known as Raury, is an American musician from Atlanta, Georgia.[1] He is known for his eclectic sound mixing soul, hip hop and folk.[1]

Career

2014–present

On August 25, 2014, Raury released his first mixtape, Indigo Child and on the same year, he signed with Columbia Records.[2] In 2014, he was shortlisted for the BBC's Sound of 2015 poll. As of January 2015, he was named at number 4 on the list.[1] In 2015, Raury was chosen to be the part of the XXL Magazine for 2015's Freshman Class.[3]

Artistry

Raury is known for his eclectic sound mixing soul, hip hop and folk.[1] He has stated that he is influenced by Andre 3000, Kid Cudi, Kanye West, Bon Iver, Queen, Fleet Foxes, Marvin Gaye, and Father John Misty.
