The Caribbean National Forest —commonly known as El Yunque (or The Anvil in English)— is the only tropical forest in the United State National Forest System. It resides on the slopes of the Sierra de Luquillo Mountains in Puerto Rico, and encompasses over 28,000 acres (113 km²) of land; making it the largest block of public land in the Island of Puerto Rico.

The forest covers lands of the municipalities of Canovanas, Juncos, Las Piedras, Luquillo, and Rio Grande.

According to the U.S. Forest Service, El Yunque is by far the friendliest and most accessible tropical rain forest in the world.
