Paraphrases

I'm concerned that much of this article appears to be very close paraphrases of the original subject. Could this perhaps be addressed? RomanSpa (talk) 07:40, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Summary needs to be cleaned up

The detailed division of the section delineating the book's contents is unnecessary and should probably be eliminated. As it is, there are sub-headings with nothing under them, and if all of those were filled out, the section as a whole would be much too long. I have eliminated the last sub-heading, which referred to the index, since that was the only one which contained obviously gratuitous information, but since I haven't actually read Understanding Poetry and thus don't know what deserves to be kept and what sub-headings might be appropriate, I'm afraid to tamper with the rest. But someone else familiar with the book should definitely do so.
