Bajen?

How does "Bajen" sound like "Hammarby"? --AW 06:10, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When mock-pronouncing Hammarby in English, it'll sound something like Hammar-buy. Buy in turn sounds something like Baj in Swedish, adding the definite suffix -en to get Bajen. – Elisson • T • C • 15:02, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On Hammarby being a working-class team

It is common knowledge in Sweden. No citations needed. You don't need citations to state that water makes you wet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.53.170.21 (talk) 16:32, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Logo area.gif

Image:Logo area.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

File:Hammarbypublik1.jpg Nominated for Deletion

An image used in this article, File:Hammarbypublik1.jpg, has been nominated for deletion at Wikimedia Commons in the following category: Media without a source as of 8 January 2012
What should I do?

Don't panic; a discussion will now take place over on Commons about whether to remove the file. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion, although please review Commons guidelines before doing so.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.

"Hammarby IF" or "Hammarby Fotboll"

Since this article is about an organization called "Hammarby Fotboll" (as the article makes clear), I've moved the page to "Hammarby Fotboll" and requested that the "Hammarby IF (disambiguation)" get moved to "Hammarby IF". That way, the page on the umbrella organization "Hammarby IF" can be developed into a proper article on Hammarby IF as a whole, with information about all of the sports it plays, and it's long history dating back to 1889. — SwedishPenguin | Talk 10:31, 1 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
