Martell is a CDP in Amador County, California, USA. Its population is either in the double or triple digits. Martell is located west of Jackson and east of Ione. Martell is where the major retail outlets for Amador County are located. There is a Big Kmart, Wal-Mart, and Lowes in a shopping center. McDonalds, Burger King, Starbucks, and Subway are restaurant chains in town. The Subway web site lists the Martell unit as being currently closed but does not specify why.
