Sakuradani Light Railway

The Sakuradani Light Railway is a private, ridable 15 inch gauge electric garden railway in the Toyono District of the Osaka Prefecture, Japan.

The Sakuradani Light Railway is garden railway that was built as a hobby, and visitors are allowed to drive the trains. The 430 feet (130m) long loop of the Minamiyama Line stops at at the single track platform of the Sakuradani Station building and the double track platform of the Kaze-No-Touge Station. In total the track has 13 switches. An overhead line is used to transmit electrical energy to trams and locomotives. The shorter Lower Line is not connected at a lower level and has a length of 165 feet (50 m).[1]

The railway opens to the public on the afternoon on the 1st Sunday every month. It is named after a mine that was once located there.[1]
