Gyarados is the evolved form of a Pokemon game character known as Magikarp. In the animated Pokemon series it is a fierce, sea-dwelling Pokemon which is never submissive in battle. Gyarados also appears in recent additions to the Pokemon Gameboy games Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.
