Uttar Pradesh Navnirman Sena, or UP Navnirman Sena, is a Non political organization based in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, led by Amit Jani Amit Jani is now in plans to contest from MuzaffarNagar Sadar Constituency in bypolls. He has set his agenda with various issues related with Muzaffar Nagar. He is getting immense support specially from Youth, people who are angry with Samajwadi Party Government are supporting Amit Jani. He is also one of the major players in upcoming 2017 UP elections.[1]
The group was in news for beheading Mayawati's statue located at Ambedkar park, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.[2] On 26 July, 2012 the group gave the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav, an ultimatum to remove similar statues of Miss Mayawati.[3] The group was angry with Mayawati's purported ill-treatment of farmers and Rajputs. Three members of the organization were arrested by the police for the beheading incident.[4]
