Hi, Jimfbleak. I'm just posting to let you know that List of Eurasian nuthatch subspecies – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for December 7. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. Regards, Giants2008 (Talk) 00:21, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- Giants2008, thanks, that looks fine. I've only recently tracked down details of a few old Russian papers to complete the sources, so the timing is good Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:12, 14 November 2015 (UTC)

- zzuuzz, the charitable view would be that he wanted to copy the format (which I nicked from someone else anyway), but this seems a strange way to go about it! They say imitation... Anyway, thanks for picking that up and sorting it, Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:52, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
- Indeed I assume a lot of good faith these days. The other way of looking at it is that after impersonating you he edited the userpages of two blocked sockpuppets belonging to the same sockpuppeteer, and made a very weird report to UAA. Anyway, it's not sorted yet - it's sat at AIV. -- zzuuzz (talk) 13:56, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
- zzuuzz, I didn't spot that, good work Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:05, 6 December 2015 (UTC)

Atlanta Sociological Laboratory
Hello,
I see the article published under my user name and not under the attended title. I redirected the name ASL to the article with my user name. How do I rename the article strictly to ASL?Shawnay Jackson 16:40, 6 December 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ShawnayJ (talk • contribs)

Colette Richarme
[Richarme] Hi, I have been trying to help my French friends address concerns on the page. I have reviewed the concerns, tried to find better references and create appropriate external links. I don't want to remove the critique at the top before determining if the concerns have been met. If you could take a look, that would be helpful. Some of my French-speaking friends are concerned that greater weight is given to English references than French. Richarme is very much a part of the French-speaking world and less so in the US, Canada, UK etc. Thanks in advance for your help in improving the page. Look forward to reading you--I am a newbie at this so welcome helpful suggestions. Sam Samrkaplan (talk) 19:04, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

I thought I was working in my personal sandbox and see you deleted my work. What went wrong? I was hoping to get the whole article back. It is a project for school and I'm getting graded on it, so it would be less of a hassle if I would be able to get it back than redoing it. I just wanted to let you know that the edit left on your page yesterday was not me. I was in class and I told my friend what happened, he took my laptop and started typing something. As soon as I noticed that it was a rude comment I deleted it instantly. I tried to hit delete before he saved it on your page, but he had already saved it. That is why the last work is misspelled. I know I have no way of proving this, but I just wanted to let you know that I didn't write that on your page. I just want to apologize for the disrespectful comment. Thank you
Deletion
Hey, thank you for deleting that page I tagged so fast! --Giooo95 (talk) 07:21, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
Vineeth Mohan
The article was deleted within 24 hours without giving time for contesting the deletion. The deletion reasons WP:A7 and WP:G11 are meaningless as the article was about a youngster actor in Malayalam language which has enough notability, who acted in important roles with popular film actors (who are called as "superstars" there) of Malayalam cinema Mohanlal in Peruchazhi and Jayasurya in Aadu (film) was part of it. Vineeth Mohan is not a person without any significant roles, he has a lot of important references [1], you can find more references by searching 'vineeth mohan' even on Goggle News. This gives enough importance to the subject. The content was sufficiently sourced with reliable sources about the details of him. I don't even understand why they tagged WP:G11 as it was not at all a promotional page and I don't think any content needs a NPOV. You can look at that. I made the article with much care. Hope you'll revert the deletion. Eagerly waiting for your reply. Josu4u (talk) 10:20, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- For the record, I endorse the deletion. At best it's too soon to write about Mohan on Wikipedia. Notability is not inherited from collaborators. The Deccan Chronicle flat-out contradicts Josu4u and says Mohan's roles so far, except one in a film that isn't released yet, were all small. Huon (talk) 12:04, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- Users Jimfbleak and @Huon: please note that the above commented user Josu4u had once tagged an unnecessarily speedy deletion tag on an article (Punchirikku Parasparam) I created, which I requested undeletion and got restored. The above request comment by the user is a copy paste of my undeletion request (archived) that you can see here and in the deleted user's talk page. That article was restored after discussing with "two" admins User:Liz and User:Tokyogirl79, and my point is, after Vineeth Mohan got deleted he again placed a speedy deletion tag on my restored article, and the tag was subsequently removed by user Huon. This Vineeth Mohan is not at all a notable person in Malayalam cinema, I am also a Malayali, he has not even done a notable supporting role. I am surprised why he is creating these when there are notable people out there who does not have a Wiki article. --Inside the Valley (talk) 19:16, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- Josu4u, the point of speedy deletion is that an article so clearly meets the criteria that discussion is unlikely to change the decision, basically you can contest it if you see the speedy tag in time, but there is no grace period. I think @Huon: is absolutely correct, even your text just establishes that he was in the films, but gives no reason beyond that as to why he is notable, appears to be just a bit player. I'm prepared,, as always, to restore the text to a user subpage if you want me to, just let me know, but you will still face problems with establishing notability if you repost at a future date. Just being in a film with genuinely notable actors doesn't make him notable. Inside the Valley, thanks. I can understand your annoyance, but I judged the deletion solely on the article itself, as I am required to. Any other behaviour is a matter for elsewhere if you considered it merited further actions. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:57, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Jimfbleak: Thanks. Can you please move it into my user subpage. So that I can work more on it. I will surely ping you when I am ready with the more relevant references that proves his notability. Josu4u (talk) 17:51, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- Josu4u, I've restored here. Please note my previous comment; if you can't show genuine notability in his own right, it will get deleted again Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:21, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- Sure, I know it. Josu4u (talk) 18:24, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

= Speedy Deletion Jeremyville
Hello, a carefully researched and referenced article on artist Jeremyville I created yesterday was nom'd for Speedy Deletion and subsequently pulled VERY QUICKLY. I was prompted to clikc on the "Contest Speedy Deletion" button but none was to be found. I think these kind of speedy deletions should really be frowned upon. Why delete it quickly as opposed to go through the regular (longer) process. There is a notability factor here, the subject is also an accomplished author and artist who has shown in major galleries worldwide. I make it my mission to find these types of artists and include them in Wikipedia. If it seemed like a promotional thing, I'm sorry and I would work on cleaning it up. But removing it is not really nice, I would at leats like a copy of the information because it took me hours to compile the info from various sources across the web. Please let me know what can be done here. Thanks Zoinksjeepster (talk) 18:36, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
