P. Janardhan Reddy popularly known as PJR (January 12, 1948 – December 28, 2007), was an Indian politician and labour leader. He had served as MLA five times for the Hyderabad constituency of Khairtabad. He was MLA for the constituency in 1978, 1985, 1989, 1994, and 2004 until his death. He belonged to the Congress party.[1]

Early life

P. Janardhan Reddy was born in Hyderabad to P. Papi Reddy and Shivamma. He did his Polytechnic Diploma.

Political career

P. Janardhan Reddy started his career as a trade union leader in 1967.

He was first elected to assembly in 1978. He was Labour Minister in the ministry headed by his mentor T. Anjaiah in 1980. He was the CLP leader from 1994 till 1999.P.Janardhan Reddy is a Congress leader well known as a leader for poor people & Assembly Tiger.He is known as Sarkar by his followers

Personal life

Reddy was married to Sulochana. They have a son P. Vishnuvardhan and 4 daughters, Elder daughter's name unknown Anu reddy Vijaya reddy, Pavani reddy
