Dongning (simplified Chinese: 东宁市; traditional Chinese: 東寧市; pinyin: Dōngníng Shì; lit. 'eastern tranqulity') is a county-level of southeastern Heilongjiang province, People's Republic of China. It is under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city of Mudanjiang.

The population of the city was 205,016 in 1999.[1]
