Britain First leader, Paul Golding

Paul Golding is the leader of Britain First, an organisation described as a "fascist paramilitary group" by tabloids and news websites[1] despite Golding insisting this is a slanderous label, and he is against fascism. He is a former British National Party Sevenoaks District councillor for Swanley[2] and will stand as a candidate in the London mayoral election in 2016, stating that he wants to hang his opponents.[3]

Golding once attended a Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday, when women's underwear were thrown on his head.[4]

In 2015, Golding was convicted of harassing a woman after mistakenly arriving at her home instead of a man linked to the 2005 London bombings. He was also found guilty of wearing a political uniform. A restraining order was issued against Golding.[5]

He previously stood as British National Party candidate for Sevenoaks in the 2010 United Kingdom general election, winning 2.8% of the vote.[6] He stood as a Britain First lead candidate in the 2014 European Parliamentary election for Wales; the party won 0.9% of the vote.[7]
