Street Metal forum as source for LLN and William Roussel

Online forums not published by professional organisations must not be used as sources for Wikipedia articles. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_source_examples#Are_web_forums_and_blog_talkbacks_reliable_sources.3F. Blackmetalbaz (talk) 21:37, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the LLN page

You reverted all of the changes I had made to this page, claiming that you were "reverting vandalism". I fail to see how the changes I made constitute vandalism. Just to recap, what I had done was as follows: a) added a few 'citation needed' tags to some of the more POV or controversial statements; b) removed redlinks from band member names in the info box as all but one have no wikipedia pages to link to (and I put it to you that that is because they are not in fact notable or sourcable); c) removed the majority of the bands or projects from the bands list as again they have no Wikipedia articles, no sources (and psst, Myspace doesn't count) and fail to meet Wikipedia notability requirements; d) slightly altered the extrenal links sections as there were two horrendous pieces of POV comment of the reliability of the sources and a link to a 'site under construction'... Wikipedia is not the place for advertising. It is also not a repository of unencyclopedic informartion. I am thus reverting your reversion. I have no interest in starting an edit war, so as such I'd ask you not to undo this unless you can answer the points raised above with reliable sources. Please don't whinge that because of the underground nature of the LLN there are no legitimate sources; that simply implies the article itself does not meet notability criteria. Either way, further reversion will look like real vandlaism and I will begin formal procedure.

Oh and by the way, I assume you realise that the entire article is taken verbatim from one, fan-run Myspace site? Someone should look into that before it becomes a candidate for Article for Deletion. Have a nice day. Blackmetalbaz (talk) 23:33, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You claim to have written this whole page about half a year ago. Are you also then the person who wrote the biog for this Myspace site: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=282534767. Blackmetalbaz (talk) 23:58, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

no i have nothing to do with that page, and just sent a message to the page stating my disapproval of the use of my essay. the list was compiled by me and some users of the forum i run, based on the lln. street metal forum. i assume the myspace user is the same girl who has been making all the other fan pages, and who was also banned from the forum for spreading idiotic rumors. -hds

Ah, fair enough. In that case my biggest beef with the page is a total absence of reliable sources. As I'm sure you're aware without these, the page will need to be deleted. I also highly question the notability of many aspects of the page. The lengthy list of bands which have no pages is totally unnecessary, to the extent that I'm going to demand a citation for each and every band on the list to assess their notability. I genuinely think the page could end up pretty good but at the moment is at the Comprehensive Rewrite stage. If there's anything I can do to help with this, let me know, but for the time being if you could get back to me with those citations, we start to whittle it down to notable acts. Blackmetalbaz (talk) 00:16, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dont care much for people around here.. Especially when they spam my own page.

There isn't really much to discuss, you keep adding a useless link to the pages, I've checked it out and it had like one topic per sub forum and now it appears to have been taken down altogether. XdiabolicalX 00:23, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion notice

A tag has been placed on I Let Go, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Seraphimblade 18:52, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Lifelessep.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Lifelessep.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:09, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Asfriendsrustband.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Asfriendsrustband.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:03, 3 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. LowKarmaError 07:03, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Asfriendsrustband.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Asfriendsrustband.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. LowKarmaError 07:03, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:EighteenvisionsBand.jpg listed for deletion

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:EighteenvisionsBand.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. RHaworth 15:54, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Band article creation: Culture (Hardcore Band)

Through a web search I wasn't able to find any reference to a band by this name. This suggests to me that they may not be notable enough to warrant an article on Wikipedia. Can you point me in the direction of some articles, or album reviews of some kind? That would certainly help in any kind of notability argument. - HammerHeadHuman 21:26, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have in fact forgotten to add the External Links. I will add the ones to the direct record label right now. please check back in 5 minutes. I made the page in fact so that people will find information on this band, as for this reason, there is very little on google, and i find it absurd that such a good band has no reference.
I have added the links (i will find more tonight). though they are few, i believe this band should be allowed on wiki, as you can see the members are on many other bands, allowed on this site (shai hulud, as friends rust, etc etc). they do not all have individual pages yet, but i am working on that.

Would you please explain your revision to this page? It is a "single", not an album, correct, so why did you revert it to the incorrect infobox again? Singles have their own infoboxes, as do albums, so please explain the revision!

Also please see the Manual of style [1] regarding the use of "bold" in the titles - and again, please leave the corrections there. SkierRMH 20:50, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking pages

I just reverted your Faith No More related article blanking. Your comment of "no need for redirect... own page needs to be made" does not apply. If you want to create a page, feel free to. But blanking existing redirects just makes useless empty pages and can be considered vandalism. — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib 10:46, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sitedown

I noticed the LLN forum that you added is currently "closed". I would take it down, but since you added it i didn't know if you knew if it was closed for good, or will re-open.

I am not aware of anything about the forum. I am a user on it and that is all. They were doing renovating in the last month, and it could be possible that they are still doing it. I dont know if they will re-open... i would hope so..

The link should be taken off until the forum opens up again. Theres no sense having a closed forum that can't be accessed (and supports illegal trading, but i understand the stuff is rare)If and When it opens up, you can add a link back to the page.

The site doesnt support illegal trading. it is against bootlegging the bands.

Even Trading of mp3s belonging to the bands is illegal. I guess you can leave the link there if you want it so much. If in a few days the site still has the "closed" banner on it, i will contact a admin and tell them to remove it.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Loosendinsampler.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Loosendinsampler.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use.

Fair use rationale for Image:Victimsingle.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Victimsingle.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. I'm kind of flummoxed by your revert - first off, label data should always be provided for each album in a discography, and second, this article has already been deleted as non-notable twice! Since they never charted, you need to add in information that shows they pass WP:MUSIC or else it's going to happen again, and label data helps establish that. (Some links to press coverage would help, too.) I remember this band, and I'd like to see this page stay, but if you're going to be reverting the good faith edits of others, it's going to get speedied like the other articles you've written that have been deleted. Notability of Bridgeburne R

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Bridgeburne R, by TenPoundHammer (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Bridgeburne R seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Bridgeburne R, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 18:58, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bon Cop, Bad Cop is not a case where French spelling rules take precedence over English ones; it's quite explicitly both English and French at the same time, and accordingly follows the usual English capitalization rules when being written about in English. Bearcat 10:18, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Yesterdayistimekilled.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. Replaceable fair use Image:AsFriendsRust.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:AsFriendsRust.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 00:02, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Damien1.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Damien1.jpg.

Army of Ponch

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Army of Ponch, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Notability of Think Tank Records

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Think Tank Records, by Nuttah68 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Think Tank Records seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Think Tank Records, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 20:25, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use disputed for Image:Fomeisdape.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Fomeisdape.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:10, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Victimsingle.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Victimsingle.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:25, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shoulder

Hi, I'm wondering why you reverted my additions to Shoulder. The image is fair use and a rationale is provided. The other edits of the infobox were in agreement with Template:Infobox Musician. I'm going to revert for now. Please provide a reason if you undo it again. Thanks Strobilus 17:38, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nahuel Gauna

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Nahuel Gauna, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Nahuel Gauna. dockingmantalk 03:36, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Bridgeburne R

A tag has been placed on Bridgeburne R requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. AfD nomination of Faith No Man

An editor has nominated Faith No Man, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Faith No Man and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 15:59, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the AfD discussion was merge and redirect. --John (talk) 19:10, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't keep reverting. The result may not have gone the way you wanted; too bad. If you feel so strongly about it I am surprised you did not comment in the AfD. Regardless, Wikipedia operates on consensus and the consensus is that this band is not notable enough for an article. --John (talk) 20:23, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just to be clear, you have reverted multiple times to undo the outcome of consensus at an Articles for Deletion discussion. That is not a good approach, and you are in danger of crossing the bright line of our reversion policy, and if you revert again, you may lose your editing privileges. Please take this seriously. I suggest that instead of reverting, you work to improve the Faith No More article to incorporate useful material from the merged Faith No Man article. If you have any questions, please ask. Many people will be willing to help you if you ask politely. Thanks. ++Lar: t/c 01:24, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Manual of style

Hi again. I notice you reverted me again here. We have an agreed format for these band infoboxes. We do not need anything there but the members' names. Neither do we use capital letters in section headings (other than for proper nouns of course). Please revert yourself or I will have to take this further. Thanks in advance. --John (talk) 21:32, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

After being warned about this by John, you subsequently did this which is another reversion of John. Please don't do that. If you have issues with application of style or policy, take them to the talk page. The way to work here is to be collegial, to discuss things, not to go around reverting. Reversions without comment are not acceptable. This is your second warning about your approach I have left you. Please get used to the idea of discussing things, things work much better. Thanks. ++Lar: t/c 18:02, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shai Hulud is metalcore

Look, Shai Hulud practicaly invented the term metalcore, they are metalcore, they blend hardcore with heavy metal. Many bands hate their tags, just like trivium and bullet for my valentine doesn't like to be called "metalcore" (they think they're just heavy metal), caliban (they think they're only hardcore) korn (they hate the tag "nu metal"), for example.

http://www.truepunk.com/interviews/shaihulud/

On the booklet I read you call Shai Hulud's music as neo-classical metalcorechestration : why neo classical and why metalcore?
It is kind of a joke. Our friends would always come over and listen to demos of the songs and say all kinds of funny things and that's how we came up with the term. It's neo-classical because it's new but classically epic sounding - our friend Jay calls it "Legacy-core", we don't know what that means, but we think it's a pretty funny word. Jay plays drums for a band called When Dreams Die, check 'them out sometime, they're awesome:www.thedie.com; and yet all the songs are written orchestrated by a metal influenced

From their blog at Myspace (cannot post link, it is automatically marked as spam)

We will tell you this, Misanthropy Pure will feature ten new songs (including To Bear The Brunt Of Many Blades -- the 2006 demo version can be heard by clicking NOT HERE, but HERE) that were scientifically structured to knock socks -- regardless of the wearer's gender, race, or length of toenails -- clean off. Really. We hired a crack team of metalcore specialists to study today's hippest, hottest, most unit moving bands to find out what you, the good, and quite possibly medicated to at least some degree public, looks for in today's music (this is, of course, why Britney Spears sans hair has been in various pits across the globe demonstrating her style as of late). Upon receiving the results, we were so appalled we used them as a blueprint to construct an album that is nothing short of the perfect antithesis (that means opposite -- er, so we think) of what most of you want to hear. That's right, most of you guys and gals sure have bad taste. No worries, so do we. Just ask our moms.

...Don't call it a comeback. It's not a reunion. It's an emergence from a hibernation that included plenty of activity. SHAI HULUD has returned to the forefront of a scene it helped create. While the current "metalcore" climate has a blueprint that was co-authored by SHAI HULUD, the band isn't content to rest on past triumphs...

-blabbermouth.net

http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:wifwxqqhldte

A positively themed metalcore band with some straight-edge and Christian leanings, the influential Shai Hulud has maintained a strong band identity since their original formation in the mid-'90s, even though their apparent inability to stick with one lineup, label, hometown, or even band name has left them with a convoluted history.

-allmusic.com

besides, misanthropy pure is not only a hardcore album, they have stated that the album have strong metal influence and hardcore isn't the right link, is hardcore punk.

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Bornofyoureissue.jpg}

Thank you for uploading Image:Bornofyoureissue.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mdsummermsw (talk) 13:06, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Nevea Tears, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Abridged Pause Recordings, without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered vandalism. A tag has been placed on Mortification Records requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

I have nominated Vision Éternel, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vision Éternel. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

This is the final warning you are receiving regarding your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did with Smohalla (band), you may be blocked from editing without further notice.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 22:03, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Mortification Records. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mortification Records. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:07, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Burt Lancaster

I started to clean up the errors in your recent edits to this article, but there are so many spelling, grammar, punctuation, and stylistic problems with your edits that I wonder if you'd mind going back, looking at the material, and making the corrections yourself. I don't mean to be snide. I just don't really want to take the time to do them all myself but the article really needs those edits cleaned up. Thanks. Fair use rationale for File:Burt Lancaster in Scorpio.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Burt Lancaster in Scorpio.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. File permission problem with File:Eighteenvisionsalbum.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Eighteenvisionsalbum.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 22:20, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Dead Season (band)

Hello, HDS,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Dead Season (band) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dead Season (band) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Karlhard (talk) 20:16, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File permission problem with File:ObessionAlbum.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:ObessionAlbum.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included.

You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy.
