I'm an American computational biologist with a PhD in physics. I have many interests, including visual art, experimental music, skepticism, computer programming, etc. My name comes from Sartre's play The Flies.

Ask yourself: how would I know if I were wrong? If one of my beliefs cannot possibly be disproven/counterindicated, then must I conclude that I have no way of knowing if it's true?
