Ruben Zimmermann (May 10, 1968) is a German Theologian, New Testament Scholar and Ethicist, currently Professor at the Johannes Gutenberg University at Mainz, Germany[1]

Biography and Education

2003, Habilitation at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich
2005-2009, Professor for Biblical Studies at Bielefeld University
since 2009, Professor for New Testament at the Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz
received several grants from, for instance, Alexander-von-Humboldt-Foundation and John-Templeton-Foundation, see enhancing-life-project (Chicago).
in 2015 the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel offered him a position[2], which he declined Co-leader of the Mainz Research Center for Ethics in Antiquity and Christianity. elected as one of 15 advanced career scholars in the Templeton "Enhancing Life Project"[3]
