Angel Edmundo Orellana Mercado (born 20 October 1948) is a Honduran lawyer and politician who was born in Olancho, Honduras. He served as deputy of the National Congress of Honduras representing the Liberal Party of Honduras for Francisco Morazán.[1] He is a lawyer and a notary public, and has a Ph.D. from the university of Bologna, Italy. He was also foreign minister and defense minister of Honduras[2] under the government of Manuel Zelaya. He was also a diplomatic representing Honduras in the United Nations, and was a presidential candidate for liberal party of Honduras. He has been working with national universitu of Honduras since 1976.
