Nando's is an Portuguese-themed fast food restaurant where one orders and pays for food at the counter. Chicken in mild, medium or hot peri peri marinades are served with rice or chips. At some Nando's outlets, a board is given with the table number. Customers then collect their plates and cutlery plus additional peri peri sauces. The freshly cooked meal is then brought out to the table when ready. Take-away orders are also available. Notable is the hot chicken, old style chips and peri mayonnaise. Both their frozen yoghurt dessert and soft drinks are "bottomless" in some places. Many Nando's are halal to cater for the members of Muslim communities. (This may not be available at all outlets.)

Nando's started in South Africa, and there are now franchises in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Canada and elsewhere.
