Burning Bodhi is a 2015 independent film written and directed by Matthew McDuffie. It stars Kaley Cuoco, Landon Liboiron, Sasha Pieterse, and Cody Horn. The film had its world premiere at the Austin Film Festival on November 1, 2015.[2]
Plot
Dylan (Landon Liboiron) finds out via Facebook that his best friend from high school has died suddenly of an aneurysm. Reluctantly, he returns home to New Mexico to deal with Bodhi's death, and his own past.[3] Lifelong friends stumble back home after high school when word goes out on Facebook that the most popular among them has died. Old girlfriends, boyfriends, new lovers, parents, your first dead friend - how do people deal? The reunion stirs up sticky feelings of love, longing and regret, and the novelty of forgiveness, mortality and gratitude.[4]

The film had its world premiere at the Austin Film Festival on November 1, 2015.[9] monterey media bought the U.S. and Canadian rights for the film in November following the Austin Film Festival. The theatrical launch is planned for March 2016.[10]
