PewDiePie's This Book Loves You is a parody of self-help books, released on 20 October 2015 by Penguin Group.[1] The book includes various aphorisms and wisdom/jokes, paired with visuals.[2] The book is available both as a paperback edition (240 pages) and an e-book.[3] This book is available for purchase through numerous retailers in Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the U.K. and the U.S.[4]

The book was described as being a coffee-table styled book.[5]

Inspiration
PewDiePie has stated that the original idea for writing the book was given by his fans on Twitter. PewDiePie had posted a parody of an inspirational quote on social media, to which his fans reacted by posting what he told in funny images. He stated that this was where "it all began", as he wanted to do something more with the idea.He also stated that it would be a great chance to reach his audience in a new way.[5][6]
Promotion
The book was promoted at numerous occasions. PewDiePie signed many books as a part of the promotion in London, on October 18, 2015.
Most of the promotion, which ultimately resulted in the book's success, was through his This Book Loves You Tour. PewDiePie started the tour on October 18, 2015, in London, then headed on to Leers, Manchester, New York, and finally to Los Angeles. The tour ended in San Francisco, California, on November 1.[7]
Reception
This Book Loves You became a New York Times Bestseller and remained on the list for a week.[8] The book received generally positive reviews from the Goodreads community, with an average rating of 4.1 out of 5.[9] Barnes & Noble has given it 4.6/5.[10]
Amazon.com's 300+ customer reviews put it at 4.6/5 stars.[11]
Negative feedback
Some people felt that the book was a means of earning money for PewDiePie by tricking his fanbase into buying the book. Others responded negatively stating that it was only a waste of money on uninspirational quotes and plain nonsense.
PewDiePie was also criticized for throwing dirt on other personalities to aid the spread of his book.
