You have the source

The source is authors William Strauss and Neil Howe (Check under Terminology): Wrote several books on the subject of generations and are widely credited with coining the term Millennials.[1] Howe has said "No one knows who will name the next generation after the Millennials".[1] In 2005, their company sponsored an online contest in which respondents voted overwhelmingly for the name Homeland Generation. That was not long after the September 11th terrorist attacks, and one fallout of the disaster was that Americans may have felt more safe staying at home.[2] Howe has described himself as "not totally wed" to the name and cautioned that "names are being invented by people who have a great press release. Everyone is looking for a hook."[1] Howe defines the Homeland Generation as people born from approximately 2005 to 2025.

No person born in the 90's is part of Generation Z. These guys did the intensive research for years as historians vs others who just have a 'feeling' that people born in the 90's belong to a different generation off of the eye test and vague research. A generation on average last 20 to 25 years from the birth of the individual to the birth of a child. So if Millennials birth range is from 1982 to 2004, then that obviously means that 2005 to 2025, give or take a couple of years, is the correct time frame of births for Generation Z. It's all about their place in history. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 163.234.49.144 (talk) 17:05, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Help!

Thanks for you response about real-life room escape. Since the facts on the site are outdated and partially wrong. We put a lot of effort to gather all the right information to share it with others. I'd really like to update the article with the correct information, but without correct source is pointless. What can we do?

Information icon Hello McGeddon. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that you shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1), content (CSD A3), or significance (CSD A7) moments after they are created, as you did at Brooks Bombers. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good fo Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks.Template:Z149.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talkcontribs) 00:33, 30 January 2016‎

Revised Code Biology page (10 Feb 2016)

Notes for Reviewer McGeddon:

[1] The first objection was that Code Biology has originated by “Barbieri dismissing biosemiotics as unscientific and forming a splinter society”. In reality the polemics with Biosemiotics was only a secondary accident and for this reason it has been removed from the last revised version.

[2] The second objection was directed to find out the secondary sources in Code Biology, and the answer is that they are of three kinds: (1) the 12 members of the Code Biology Society (see their websites in External links), (2) the participants in the Code Biology Conferences (see the conference photogalleries in External links); and (3) all those who have published articles on the organic codes that appeared after the genetic code and before the codes of culture (see their papers in References).

Revert to Movember

unrelated charity event according to source, misleading to describe as an "extension" [1]

It was promoted as an 'extension' - from November into December - with a substantial cable/satellite coverage, which may have arguably been advertising rhetoric. No intention to mislead, no spam, no promotion - are you agreeable to the general elements of deleted content going into Movember#Similar events? If so, please paste it in to your satisfaction. Thank you.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 13:37, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Instaprint

Hi McGeddon, I'm new to Wikipedia and want to make sure I'm not getting flagged for anything or for linking back to my page. Also, I have permission to use the image on the page. Hi McGeddon. Could you take a look at my comments at Talk:Kalinga Institute Of Social Sciences (formerly KISS Foundation)? Any thoughts? I'm going to ask an administrator to move this to Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences over the current redirect, unless there are serious objections. Overhasty speedy deletion

Hi, for Rivane Neuenschwander you tagged it with A3 only 7 minutes after creation. Please give the writers a bit more time, an hour is an appropriate amount of time. The same applies to A1, A7 and A10 speedy delete reasons. In this case the author added content a couple of minutes later, still not enough, but is it no longer blank. Ouch my toes are burining

Please do a Google search for the term. If you find any source, even a blog, that talks about a drink like that, then do go ahead and undo my CSD. Otherwise, it seems common sense that the creator of the article has invented the term themselves. Thanks. Xender Lourdes (talk) 18:59, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And yes, "burining" (with the spelling error) is actually how the author named the article. Xender Lourdes (talk) 19:05, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your sense of humour

I like your sense of humour :-) This is apart from my thanks to you for the patient effort you (and JohnCD) have taken to explain the nuances in the A11. Had a request to you. Can you please change the heading of the talk section you've written on my talk page? "Burining the newcomers" is not what I feel should be the import of our discussions. I shall be quite thankful if you can do that. Thanks. Xender Lourdes (talk) 04:02, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

:-) I actually wanted to remove the line Burining the newcomers (it is embarrassing for me and far from what was intended). As you've again written the same statement in your latest reply, so I wanted to request you to allow me remove that too (i've substituted that for now, if you're okay with it). Thank you for understanding but more than that thank you for the nice and humorous way you describe things. Xender Lourdes (talk) 02:31, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Page on Randolph Stone

Hello McGeddon, yesterday I have put on an article on Randolph Stone. When you suggested it to be deleted I learned that an article on Stone has been deleted in 2012. I don't know who wrote it and have never seen it. In the meantime I have worked on rendering the stile of the article neutral, dropping a few details and providing more references including secondary sources as required. It is my first article I have put on Wikipedia. How are its chances now? I am not sure how to approach persistent soaks but you managed quite well the last time. Please take a look at User:Japonesede123.
