Tasker is an application for Android which performs tasks based on contexts (application, time, date, location, event, gesture) in user-defined profiles or in clickable or timer home screen widgets. It controls an Android device without the need for 'root' or a special home screen.

Management

Tasker works manually as well as automatically. It monitors the phone for contexts and performs tasks based on them. A profile stands as combination of a context and a task.[2]

Task App Factory

The "Task App Factory" is similar app from the same developers. Tasker App Factory turns tasks into standalone apps, which can be distributed and installed on devices without the actual Tasker app.[2] Exporting them, they can be triggered with voice, using touchless Controls. It uses the AutoVoice plugin. Unlike its parent app, the Task App Factory is a free at the Google Play Store.[2]
