Smile... It Confuses People is the debut album of Sandi Thom. It was released on June 5, 2006 in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

The album went straight to number one in its week of release in the UK (on the chart issued June 11, 2006), and entered the Irish chart on 8 June, 2006 at number three, but subsequently reached number one the following week.

The first single released from the album was "I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (with Flowers in My Hair)" which reached #1 in both the UK and Ireland. The second single to be taken from the album is "What If I'm Right" and will be released 28 August, 2006.

Critics have been hesitant to celebrate Thom, some calling her album a diluted product of KT Tunstall. Q Magazine described her as "Christina Aguilera meets Joni Mitchell for the Ipod." [citation needed]

The album will be released on 12 September, 2006 in the United States
