Danity Kane is the debut, self-titled album from Danity Kane, the girl group featured on the MTV series Making the Band 3. It will be released in the United States on August 22 2006 and is executive produced by Bad Boy Records president Sean Combs. Producers include Timbaland, "Darkchild", Mario Winans, Bryan Michael Cox, Rami, Ryan Leslie and Jim Jonsin, and the album's co-executive producer is Bad Boy Executive vice president Harve Pierre. Danity Kane has said their influences include Mariah Carey, Prince, Aerosmith and En Vogue. The album's Co-Executive Producer is Bad Boy Executive Vice President Harve Pierre.

The album's first single is "Show Stopper". "Show Stopper" became popular before its release to radio in early August, being played over a million times on the band's official MySpace page.[1] Its video will premiere on MTV's Making the Video.

It is confirmed that a fan favorite "Sleep on It" is a hidden track on the album, which was leaked on August 16, 2006.

Chart Success

"Danity Kane" was released on iTunes on August 22, 2006, and soon that day the album had already rose to number 1 on the top 100 albums. This was a huge success for a debut album on iTunes. Also their single Showstopper has peaked at number 2 on the iTunes top 100 songs list.
