Ōtomo clan
The Ōtomo clan (大伴氏) was a Japanese clan, which served the Okimi for a long time. After its decline prior to the Taika Reform in 645, it regained influence in the Imperial court by siding with Jinshin (672).
Its members include:
- Otomo no Yakamochi (718 - 785)
- Otomo no Tabito - Yakamochi's father
- Lady Otomo of Sakanoue
