Template:Korean name Kim Yun-Tae (born July 3, 1965) is a Korean academic and politician[1][2]. He is a member of “The Minjoo Party of Korea, and is currently a professor, Department of Sociology, and Department of Social Welfare, Korea University. A prominent sociologist, Kim Yun-Tae is an active social welfare advocate. He has written academic and popular works and has had media interviews regarding the social issues welfare, and politics in Korea. In 1986, Kim Yun-Tae, as a president of student association in Korea University, he led university students' democratic movement but was in prison for 2 year and 6 months. [citation needed]

He completed his master from University of Cambridge and later Ph.D. from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Following the creation of “Sae Chunnyun Minjoo party,” Kim Yun-Tae served as a vice-chair of policy committee. He later served as the 13th Speaker of the National Assembly Library of the Republic of Korea under Kim Dae-Jung, Korean president. In March 2016, Kim Yun-Tae announced his candidacy for a lawmaker who represents The Minjoo Party of Korea in Gunsan, the Republic of Korea. [3]
