List of Family Guy episodes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by 24.250.143.92 (talk) at 01:33, 27 August 2006 (corrected production codes of some episodes). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

The following is an episode list for the FOX animated television series Family Guy. The show premiered on January 31, 1999 and originally ended on February 14, 2002. After the overwhelming success of DVD sales and cable ratings on Adult Swim, FOX decided to revive the programme, and it began airing again May 1, 2005.

The series has its roots in 1995 when Seth MacFarlane created the animated short The Life of Larry, while in college.

As of May 21, 2006, there have been 80 episodes of Family Guy televised.

A direct to DVD movie Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story was released on September 27, 2005 (Region 1), October 24, 2005 (Region 2).

Season 4 was split into various segments to not waste new episodes when television audiences were low. The traditional size for a spring half-season is nine episodes (thirteen for a fall half-season); Fox showed ten in Season 4, only starting in May rather than in January. New episodes of the show went on hiatus for August. The show was restarted on September 11, 2005.

Season 5 will start on September 10, 2006 and contain around 22 episodes. The season finale will be part one of the two part 100th episode of the series, with part 2 airing as the 6th season premiere

There are 22 episodes made for production season 5.
