The BMW B58 is a turbocharged direct injection straight-6 DOHC engine which began production in 2015. It was launched in the F30 340i.[1] It is also part of BMW's new modular engine family, which is based on each cylinder comprising 500cc, similar with its N55 predecessor, the B58 also features a single twin-scroll turbo, direct fuel injection and Valvetronic .
