I think the following sentence should be deleted: "Cardinal Jean Le Moine became cardinal-protopriest at the death of Cardinal Robert Pontigny in October 1305." Cardinal Pontigny signs AFTER Cardinal Le Moine in documents I have seen. He was therefore senior to Cardinal Pontigny, and Pontigny was never protopriest.
