The Immaculate Conception Cathedral[1] (Template:Lang-th) is the name given to a religious building that is affiliated with the Catholic Church and is located in the city of Chanthaburi, in the province of the same name, in the Asian country of Thailand.
The temple is visible from most of the city, was formally inaugurated in 1909 as one of the largest Catholic church in that nation built on a previous structure of more than 300 years. It was built in Gothic style during 10 years of occupation of France on this territory although it remained unfinished at that time (1893-1904). There is a statue of the Virgin Mary just in front of the Cathedral.
Follow the Roman or Latin rite and serves as the seat of the Diocese of Chanthaburi (Dioecesis Chanthaburiensis, สังฆมณฑล จันทบุรี) which was created in 1965 with the Bull "Qui in fastigio" of Pope Paul VI. It is under the pastoral responsibility of the Bishop Silvio Siripong Charatsri.
