Andrew Alexander (journalist)
Andrew Alexander (May 1935 – 5 July 2015) was an English journalist and columnist for The Daily Mail.[1]
He was the son of S. W. Alexander.[2] He was the unsuccessful Conservative candidate at the Colne Valley by-election, 1963.[3] He won Specialist Writer of the Year in the British Press Awards for 1976.[4] He was denounced in the House of Commons by the Labour MP Dennis Canavan as "that prizewinning cynical jackass".[5]
He is most known for writing a book on American Imperialism titled America and the Imperialism of Ignorance.[6]
Alexander died at age 80 on 5 July 2015.[7]
