Meher Afroz Chumki is a Bangladesh Awami League politician. She is currently the Minister for Women and Children Affairs.[1]

Biography

Between 1996 and 2001, Chumki served in Parliament in the reserved seats for women. She represented the Gazipur-5 constituency.[2] In 2009, she was elected to the Parliament and in 2013, was sworn in as Minister for Women and Children Affairs.[3] She was given the Anannya Shirshodosh award in September 2015.[4]
