Alfred Nenguwo

Alfred Nenguwo (born July 7, 1989) is a Zimbabwean African jazz singer and songwriter.[1] He recalls his first dramatic encounter with art when he was 12.

Biography

Alfred Nenguwo is the first born in a family of 3 and he was raised by his grandparents in the high density suburb of Mbare.As he remembers as a child music always fascinated him. His grandfather used to listen to a lot of jazz music so he would end up singing along to the music a lot. His uncles were also musical, one played the Mbira and the other one was a Reggae artist. Alfred grew up to like music and started singing in the school choir when he was in primary school.

Music career

Alfred a self-taught musician announced his arrival on the music scene when he partnered up with Millicent Muchati and they recorded an album entitled African Sun.
